The English Teacher

These tests are less challenging than other newspaper tests in this site since these questions more often give hints regarding the sections where the information is located, rather than having students search through the entire paper. An easier test is used to enable students to learn the sections before they have a test that assumes that they know where the sections are.

When I began this unit, I assumed that all of my students had a knowledge of newspapers and their contents. Although many did, I was surprised to learn that at least one student had never looked at a newspaper before.

These tests, of course, are from specific newspapers and time needs to be allotted to create these tests.
